The DA-307 was equipped with a dynamic damping mechanism to cancel out the vibrations characteristic of various parts of the tonearm, as well as low-frequency vibrations.
The base of the tonearm tube is divided into two sections, with a rubber damper of appropriate viscosity and elasticity inserted between them.
The tonearm also featured a magnetic anti-skating system that did not affect or alter the tonearm’s characteristics in any way. This could be disabled with a simple touch, and its adjustment was micrometric, just like the adjustment of the tracking force applied to the stylus. Using this mechanism, the tonearm effectively dampened the vibrations transmitted from the tonearm base as described above and greatly reduced the vibrations inherent in the various tonearm components.
The Denon DA 307 offered the option to adjust the tonearm height to accommodate the various cartridges available on the market. This adjustment range is between 42 and 70 mm.
The whole design was conceived to pair perfectly with Denon cartridge series such as the DL-103.
