The system is built around a 5-channel integrated amplifier and stands out for its ability to operate in configurations ranging from 2 to 5.1 channels, adapting to different environments and speaker set-ups. The SCENE function allows for instant recall of sources and sound programmes, simplifying day-to-day operation of the unit and reflecting Yamaha’s philosophy of combining ease of use with comprehensive functionality.
From a technical perspective, this model features multiple HDMI connections and offers a comprehensive range of analogue and digital inputs and outputs, enabling it to interface with televisions, BD or DVD players, dedicated audio sources and external video devices. The rear panel includes four HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, AV inputs, dedicated analogue audio connections, optical and coaxial digital inputs, as well as video monitor outputs and a subwoofer output. This configuration reflects a phase in which the AV receiver is no longer merely a sound distribution hub, but becomes the true hub of a complex home system, capable of integrating video and audio content in multiple formats.
The HTR-3063 also features FM and AM reception with station presets, management of audio programmes and surround decoders, speaker acoustic parameter control, distance adjustment, tone control, graphic equalisation and various functions dedicated to optimising the listening experience in the room. It also features functions such as Adaptive DRC, Lip Sync, Volume Trim, display dimmer, memory lock and auto-power off, elements that clearly demonstrate the level of sophistication achieved by this generation of home theatre receivers.
It is also compatible with optional Yamaha accessories designed for integrating iPods and iPhones via a universal dock, as well as offering the option to connect an optional Yamaha Bluetooth audio receiver.
