The DSP 100 is a digital processor featuring 21 types of sound field programmes. It represented cutting-edge technology at the time of Yamaha’s pioneering surround sound. Most of this unit’s features are now built into modern AV receivers. However, this unit allows for many configurations using analogue controls, which some may find more enjoyable to use.
Designed to be connected to preamplifiers and power amplifiers, it is capable of generating reverbs and echoes to suit the size of the room via the 4 ‘effects’ speakers. It also features a mono output for a ‘fill’ centre speaker and a low-pass mono output for a subwoofer. It
includes a pink noise generator for setting speaker levels and a whole host of presets and memory options.
This unit has been fully refurbished and is in perfect working order.
