The NAD 917 is a high-performance AM/FM audio-video stereo preamplifier from the Canadian audio company NAD Electronics.
It is a truly comprehensive, versatile and high-quality-sounding unit. In addition to the aforementioned radio tuner with presets, it features switchable tone control, a Dolby Surround Pro-Logic processor with selectable effects, the option for monophonic operation, and a dedicated control to emphasise low frequencies via a dedicated button (Bass EQ).
The preamplified outputs are separate for the front channels (usable in normal stereo mode), rear channels and centre channel. Furthermore, a subwoofer output can be set to three different crossover frequencies. There are seven stereo inputs and four video inputs. It should be noted that it does not have a phono input, but a dedicated external preamplifier for the turntable cartridge can be connected; alternatively, if you have a pre-amplified turntable, it can be connected directly to a line input.
Refurbished unit, fully functional and in excellent cosmetic condition.
