The Yamaha CMX 1 is the original Japanese version of the Western MT1X model, launched in 1984 and designed for music enthusiasts who wanted to record their own performances or play back audio cassettes at home.
The Yamaha CMX 1 is a stylish, modern and compact multitrack recorder with a recording mixer and is equipped with a wide range of versatile functions. Using standard cassette tapes, the CMX 1 simplifies the production of high-quality multitrack recordings, allowing you to record or play back tracks separately as you wish.
It can record on all four tracks simultaneously, features LED bar graphs instead of traditional meters on Track One, dbx noise reduction, standard tape speed, a two-band equaliser per channel, tone control, and offers a synchronisation function when connected to an optional MIDI box, the Yamaha YMC10.
The recorder also features a double-speed recording mode to allow recording at 1.5x normal speed, increasing the recording time on the tape.
Refurbished and in working order.
