Tascam 302 MKII – professional cassette recorder

This is a robust dual-cassette recorder, suitable for a wide range of professional applications.

In practical terms, it consists of two fully independent auto-reverse recorders with separate input/output connectors and controls, housed in a single 3U 19" rack-mount chassis. The 302 features an integrated bus control system that offers solutions for a wide variety of applications. You can record or play back two tapes one after the other or simultaneously, or cascade up to 10 units and control them all from the master unit. This allows for recording and playback times of up to 30 hours, or the copying of up to 19 cassettes at normal or high speed. The optical leader tape sensor minimises the time lost when switching from one side of the tape to the other during the autoreverse process.

It also features a programme search function (CPS), auto locator, two independent level meters, real-time tape counters, speed control for each recorder, and a headphone output with level control and selectable source. The Dolby B and C noise reduction systems, together with HX Pro, ensure high-quality playback.

It can be controlled via the dedicated RC-302 wired remote control (optional and not supplied).

This model is identical in terms of features and operation to its larger counterpart, the 322, which supported RS232 communication as well as the option to add slots for balanced inputs and outputs.

The unit offered here is in excellent cosmetic and working condition.
